A senior delegation from the Lecce academy met University of Arts Rector Erald Bakalli and Projects Sector head Pjetër Guralumi in Tirana as part of efforts to strengthen ties between the two institutions.

The meeting followed a memorandum of understanding between the institutions and positive cooperation during the previous academic year, particularly involving students of the Faculty of Fine Arts.

Discussions focused on expanding international cooperation and creating more opportunities for students through joint projects and activities. The cooperation is expected to extend beyond the Fine Arts Faculty to the university’s Film, Scenography and Costume Design programmes.

The Albanian university presented publications marking its 60th anniversary, as well as works related to its annual scientific conference.

The Italian delegation also visited the university’s restored Grand Concert Hall, where the two sides discussed opportunities for joint artistic, academic and international events.

The institutions aim to turn their partnership into a broader platform for exchanging expertise and creating new opportunities for students and academic staff, with further joint projects expected to follow.
