” EANA got notice that the Gaza office of our member agency Anadolu was damaged during the recent conflict in the region.

The BBC reports about Israeli air strikes answering a rocket assault by Palestinian militants.  EANA regards the security of journalists as a precondition of freedom of speech. Therefore EANA asks for special attention to the life and health of journalists doing their job in the field,” EANA said in its statement on behalf of EANA Board, with Peter Kropsch, President of EANA and CEO of DPA (Germany), and Alexandru Giboi.

Israeli warplanes hit Turkey’s Anadolu Agency office in Gaza Strip earlier today.

According to the AA reporters in Gaza Strip, Israeli troops fired warning shots in the building housing AA office.

AA correspondents in Gaza reported that Israeli troops hit the agency’s office after warning shots.

No injuries or death were reported.

In a statement following the attack, the agency’s Director General Senol Kazanci said Israeli warplanes hit the building in Gaza today where Anadolu Agency’s office is also located.

“ Israeli warplanes hit the building with at least 5 rockets after warning shots,” he added.

“We strongly condemn Israel’s attack to Anadolu Agency Gaza Office. We call on national and international press organizations to react and take action regarding this violation of both human rights and press freedom,” AA’s Director General Senol Kazanci said in his statement./ / a.jor. /u.sh/
