In her remarks,  Minister Xhaçka said that, Albania is an exporter of security in the region and beyond.

“30 years a member of the OSCE.  In 30 years they have seen Albania being built on the ruins of communism, turning into a modern state and taking over the OSCE chairmanship 2020, an exporter of security in the region and beyond, a member of the Security Council of “United Nations for the period 2022-2023,” Minister Xhaçka emphasized.

On June 19, 1991, the meeting of the foreign ministers of the participating countries took place in Berlin Reichstag building. The meeting was chaired by the Vice Chancellor and Foreign Minister of the Federal Republic of Germany Hans Dietrich Gensher. The accession of Albania as a full member to the OSCE was approved with full unanimity and applause. //a.i/

Following the national anthem, the main screen aired the story of the formation of the SP and the main points of its journey, through the narration of some of its key figures over the years.

The Congress is conceived in 3 parts, with the first part dedicated to the 30-year journey of the SP.

The second part of the Congress will include the presentation of the vision “Albania 2030” and the summary of objectives for the new governing mandate.

In the third part, the Congress will continue with the approval of the decisions of the National Assembly, with regard to the analysis of the election result of April 25 at the local level and the campaign of the Socialist Party to open new memberships.

The analysis will pass in three stages through a special commission, while the process will start on June 15 this year, until January 15, 2022 at each party level.

Through a video message, the historical leader of the Socialist Party, Fatos Nano said that, “in 3 decades we have known and been able to preserve the best traditions, renew ourselves and change Albania, facing the challenges of development and moving forward keeping in step with the times.”

During the extraordinary Congress of the Socialist Party, was also commemorated the former Prime Minister of ‘National Reconciliation’, Bashkim Fino, who passed away a few months ago, through a video showing his most beautiful moments in politics.//a.i/
