6083 vaccinations were administered yesterday alone.
Family doctors also identified 114 Albanian citizens fully vaccinated abroad, through vaccination certificates (or 228 vaccinations applied abroad).

Sources say that the total number of reported vaccinations includes the vaccinations of Albanian citizens administered abroad and that are registered in our integrated systems, to give everyone the opportunity to complete the vaccination process in Albania or abroad.

“Every citizen over 16 years old can be vaccinated at the health center or at the nearest centralized vaccination point. Vaccination is also open for children +12 years old with autoimmune system disorders, with a recommendation from the doctor, ” the Ministry says .

MoHSP appeals to citizens who have passed 6 months since the second dose of vaccine, to go to health centers or centralized vaccination points, to receive the booster dose.

TIRANA, June 29 /ATA/ – By B. Naska/ The open days of mass vaccination for citizens over 18 years of age kicked off across the country.

The process will continue even tomorrow for citizens + 18 years old who have applied until yesterday morning on the government portal e-Albania to receive the jab against Covid.

The Albanian Telegraphic Agency closely followed on Tuesday in Scanderbeg square the vaccination process of +18 year old citizens, who are very satisfied and see it as a good opportunity to travel safely and freely during this tourist season.

“I used this opportunity because I will travel soon as life returns to normal and sector of tourism reopens. The opportunity was to get the vaccine there too but I would have to self-isolate first so I decided to get vaccinated here when the opportunity was offered for the younger age groups. It was a good opportunity and I took advantage of it, ” a young man waiting in line told ATA.

“I have received the first dose in the US 3 weeks ago and will takE the second dose here. We are satisfied, the reception is good and the service up to the standards. We did not have to wait in line for a long time and I appeal to all people to be vaccinated. I did not have any problems at all, but my arm hurt a little and I hope it goes like this here too. Come, everyone, get vaccinated because it protects your health,” another citizen told ATA.

Regarding the pace of this process, the physician Marsida Velo told ATA that, today was the first day of “Open Days” dedicated to vaccination of those above 18 years. There has been a high flow of people who have waited in line since 7-30hrs to get the jab and more are expected to show up. Vaccination will last until 20:00hrs, but will continue even later if there are people in line. This is the best way to protect public health and achieve herd immunity.
