The report published by the Institute of National Statistics stated that over 11 million foreigners visited our country from January to November.

The figures show an increased interest of foreigners in visiting Albania even during the fall. Beyond the magic of the coast, history, culture, tradition, but also cuisine are other reasons why foreigners are choosing Albania during this period.

After Tirana, the most frequented areas by foreigners are Valbona, Razma, Voskopoja, Thethi, Lezha, Gjirokastra, Berat and many other destinations.

According to the INSTAT report on “Movements of Citizens”, during the month of November our country was visited by 604 thousand 332 foreigners.

In November last year, there were 547 221 foreigners.

According to the data, in November, 96% of foreign nationals entering Albania, or 10.5 million, were from the European region. Southern Europe accounted for 85% of foreign nationals entering the country, followed by Western Europe with 5%.

Around 97% of foreigners who entered the Albanian territory declared that they were for personal purposes, holidays and visits to relatives.

In November, this indicator marked a 9.3% increase, compared to November 2023.

There was also recorded a significant increase in the number of foreign nationals entering for business and professional purposes in November, with 89.4%./a.f/p.s./
