TIRANA, October 27 /ATSH/ – The Court of Tirana issued security measures today for individuals arrested during protests over the last few days.
The court ordered house arrest for 4 individuals, while for another, it imposed the requirement to report to authorities and a travel ban.
Additionally, 5 other individuals were ordered to report to the judicial police, while another was subjected to a travel ban and an obligation to remain in a specific location.
The court imposed the requirement to report to the judicial police on 10 individuals under investigation, who are suspected of criminal offenses including destruction of property, assaulting officials in the line of duty, participating in illegal demonstrations and obstructing the movement of transport vehicles.
Furthermore, the court ordered the immediate release of other individuals for whom there was no other legal basis for continued detention.
This decision may be appealed to the Court of Appeal of General Jurisdiction in Tirana within 5 days, starting from the day following the notification of the reasoned decision. /m.m/j.p/p.s./
