Berisha: Student protests an ‘Epic Confrontation’, calls for DP renewal

TIRANA, Oct 13 /ATA/ Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha commented today on the student protests outside the Ministry of Education during a visit to Dibër.

Speaking at the “Renewal Forum” in Dibër, Berisha said that “the students engaged in an epic confrontation with Rama’s phalanxes”.
He added that the Democratic Party, in the interests of the country’s most vital needs, should therefore undertake its own renewal.

“Those who stood their ground in extremely difficult circumstances are all heroes in my eyes. But now, many others must join them, including young people, women and girls, so that we can defeat this great evil and work together to develop a better vision for Albania,” Berisha said.

According to Berisha, the Democratic Party’s National Council is calling on every party member to make renewal their guiding principle.

“This should be a personal motto for everyone, starting with the party leader. We need to consider how to renew our positions, strengthen our role and revitalise our ranks. Albania has expectations of us, and I have the utmost confidence that we will live up to them,” Berisha said.
