Hundreds of iconic Vespas flood Skanderbeg square for Tirana’s 2026 Parade

TIRANA, October 9 /ATA/ – Hundreds of Vespa enthusiasts from Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Croatia and Italy will gather in Tirana on Saturday for the 13th edition of the “Vespa Parade Tirana 2026″—an event that blends culture, heritage, friendship between nations and social awareness.

The event will take place in Skanderbeg square, featuring a symbolic 600-square-meter installation designed to convey messages of unity and friendship between Albania and Italy.

This edition coincides with the 80th anniversary of the Vespa – the iconic Italian brand of motor scooters and mopeds manufactured by Piaggio- and the 80th anniversary of the Italian Republic, adding the event a special cultural and international dimension.

The “Pink October” campaign, supporting breast cancer awareness, will also be a key focus. Participants will adorn their Vespas with pink ribbons as a symbol of solidarity and a message highlighting the importance of women’s health and early diagnosis.

The event begins at 11:00 AM with the arrival and registration of participants, while the parade through the capital’s streets will take place from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Following the parade, the event will continue at Skanderbeg square with a ceremony, music and live performances by Xhesika Polo and Mateus Frroku.

Supported by the Municipality of Tirana, “Vespa Parade Tirana 2026” aims to create a festive day for citizens and visitors alike, promoting culture, cross-country exchange and messages of social significance. /p.s./
