Parliament delegation attends Moldova NATO seminar on regional security and European integration

TIRANA, October 7 /ATA/ The permanent delegation of the Albanian Parliament to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly—led by Igli Hasani and composed by Bledar Çuçi, Damian Gjiknuri and Fatmir Mediu—participated in the 109th Rose-Roth Seminar of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly (NATO PA).

The event took place in Chisinau, Moldova, on October 6–7, 2026 and was organized in cooperation with the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.

The discussions focused on the NATO-Moldova partnership, regional and Black Sea security, the impact of Russia’s war against Ukraine on European security and energy security, as well as addressing hybrid threats, disinformation and interference undermining democratic institutions and electoral processes.

There was paid special attention to the role of the Parliament and international partnerships in strengthening Moldova’s resilience and supporting its European integration agenda. The seminar brought together parliamentarians, government officials, experts and representatives from the international organizations, academia and the diplomatic corps to discuss the Republic of Moldova’s future within the Euro-Atlantic area and the strengthening of resilience in the face of an increasingly challenging strategic environment. /m.q/j.p/p.s./
