TIRANA, Sept 29 /ATA/ Minister of Economy and Innovation Delina Ibrahimaj said today that the “Price Dashboard” platform is in the final stages of preparation and is expected to become operational in the first 10 days of October.
At today’s press conference, responding to journalists’ questions about the state of play of the “Price Dashboard” and whether a list of products to be included on the platform is already available, Ibrahimaj said: “This platform is a new initiative undertaken by the Ministry of Economy and Innovation. As we have explained, we are working to develop the platform, which is now in the final stages of preparation.”
“We expect the platform to be operational in the first 10 days of October, featuring at least 160 products. We are coordinating with the major retailers to finalise the list of products, which, as we have explained, will consist of the main items in the consumer basket. These will include food products, as well as everyday hygiene products most commonly used by Albanian households,” Ibrahimaj said.
Minister Ibrahimaj said that “we are also working with supermarket chains, as well as with networks of importers and producers — the main suppliers of supermarkets — with the aim of finalising a list of products that the major supermarkets, importers and producers have agreed to sell and market for a three-month period at fixed prices and with minimal profit margins.”
“Both of these initiatives will be launched within the first 10 days of October, as we have previously announced,” Ibrahimaj said.
