TIRANA, Sept 28 /ATA/ – Foreign Minister Ferit Hoxha met in Tirana on Monday with Anton Hofreiter, chairman of the Committee on European Union Affairs of the German Bundestag’s.
Hoxha said in a post on X that the meeting was an opportunity to assess Albania’s progress under its ambitious reform agenda as it moves towards EU membership.
“Germany has been one of Albania’s strongest and most consistent supporters throughout this journey. We greatly value Germany’s support for a merit-based enlargement process and its leadership in promoting a credible European perspective for the Western Balkans,” Hoxha wrote.
The meeting also reaffirmed strong relations between Albania and Germany and the importance of continued cooperation between the two countries, including parliamentary exchanges.
Hoxha said the shared goal of their cooperation remained a stronger and more united Europe.
