TIRANA, August 28 /ATA/ The civic protest in Tirana entered its 90th consecutive day today, with demonstrators reiterating their demands for Prime Minister Edi Rama’s resignation and opposing the Zvërnec investment project.
The protesters initially gathered at “Skanderbeg” square, from where they started the march along the boulevard towards the Prime Minister’s Office, expressing their opposition to the project and simultaneously raising other concerns regarding policies for protected areas and strategic investments.
Protesters persist in demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, the dismantling of the traditional political establishment, the reversal of amendments to the protected areas law, and comprehensive electoral reform.
The protesters also demand the repeal of several legal initiatives, which, according to them, breach the interests of Albanian citizens.
The organizers have warned that the protest will continue in the coming days until their demands are met. /e.xh/a.f/p.s./
