TIRANA, Aug. 22 /ATA/ – Foreign Minister Ferit Hoxha on Saturday met in Tirana with Albanian political and institutional leaders from Presheva Valley, including MP Shaip Kamberi, Presheva Mayor Ardita Sinani, Bujanovc Mayor Arber Pajaziti and Albanian National Council Chairman Enkel Rexhepi.
Hoxha said the meeting focused on issues requiring continued coordination, including protecting the rights of ethnic Albanians, preserving their identity, strengthening their political and institutional representation in Serbia and addressing the needs of residents of the Valley.
“Genuine and dignified representation, preserving and strengthening national identity, education, economic development and opportunities for young people are not one-off issues. They require sustained attention, coordination and concrete action,” Hoxha said.
He said the rights of Albanians remained a consistent priority of Albania’s diplomatic efforts.
Hoxha added that Albania would continue to support Albanians in the Presheva Valley through engagement and dialogue.
