British electronic duo CamelPhat to perform in Albania for first time

TIRANA, Aug. 19 /ATA/ – British DJ and production duo CamelPhat will perform in Albania for the first time on Aug. 21 in the coastal village of Dhermi, bringing one of the biggest names in the international electronic music scene to the country’s southern coast.

The arrival of Liverpool duo Dave Whelan and Mike Di Scala was also announced Wednesday on social media by Prime Minister Edi Rama, who described CamelPhat as a Grammy-nominated electronic act known for their hit “Cola.”

CamelPhat rose to international prominence with “Cola,” their collaboration with Elderbrook, which became a global hit and topped the U.S. Billboard Dance Club Songs chart.

The track was nominated for a Grammy for Best Dance Recording in 2018, helping establish the duo among the leading names in international electronic music.

According to Defected Records, “Cola” has surpassed two billion streams on audio platforms and has received multi-platinum certification.

The performance in Dhermi will mark CamelPhat’s first live appearance in Albania and is expected to be one of the summer’s major electronic music events on the Albanian Riviera.
