Ibrahimaj: AIC expanding investment opportunities across Albania

TIRANA, Aug 17 /ATA/The Albanian Investment Corporation (AIC) continues to develop new projects and promote investment opportunities in Tirana and across different regions of the country.

Minister of Economy and Innovation Delina Ibrahimaj said today that the Albanian Investment Corporation (AIC) has completed 14 international public tenders, while two others are currently under way.

According to Ibrahimaj, 12 contracts have so far been signed with private partners, while two others are currently under negotiation. In addition, 21 cooperation agreements have been signed with public partners, and 20 investment projects of public interest have been identified.

Ibrahimaj said the projects are expected to generate €523 million in returns for the Albanian Investment Corporation and the state, while their overall economic impact is estimated at €1.41 billion. They are also projected to generate around €94 million in taxes and fees for the state.

Another key area, she said, is the development and management of the technology and science park, which created 570 jobs in just one year. Over the same period, €14 million worth of information technology services were exported.

“And this is only part of our work,” Ibrahimaj said, highlighting the potential of AIC projects to support economic development and create new opportunities for investors.

Ibrahimaj invited investors and other interested parties to explore the open calls, projects under development and opportunities to participate in Albanian Investment Corporation initiatives.
