National Internship Programme offers 1,207 positions for young people in public administration and municipalities

TIRANA, Aug 11 /ATA/ For a decade, the National Internship Programme has given young people the opportunity to gain professional experience, develop their skills and get a foothold in the professional world.

Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports Blendi Gonxhja reminded young people that the 11th call for the National Internship Programme is open until August 16. This year’s programme offers 1,207 internship positions across the state administration, public institutions and 48 municipalities nationwide.

The minister highlighted the stories of Dejtona Halili, Elvi Ismailaga and Nelvisa Pone, three young people who began their careers as interns and are now members of the staff at the institutions where they completed their internships.

Their stories show that an internship can be more than a temporary experience, offering a tangible opportunity to build a professional future.

The 11th call of the programme is open to young people aged 21 to 29 who have graduated from a first-cycle (Bachelor’s) or second-cycle (Master’s) study programme offered by a higher education institution.

Interns will receive a meal allowance in the form of financial compensation and will take part in a specialised training programme provided by the Albanian School of Public Administration (ASPA).

The internship will provide an integrated work experience, allowing participants to work alongside career professionals in the public administration and further develop their professional, academic and personal skills.
