70-day of protest outside Prime Minister’s Office

TIRANA, August 8 /ATA/ On the 70th day of protests, demonstrators marched from Skanderbeg Square to the Prime Minister’s Office in Tirana. They renewed their calls to cancel the Zvërnec development project, reform the electoral and political systems and revise protected-area legislation.

Protesters in Tirana marched past the Prime Minister’s Office and through the city overnight. They opposed a proposed territorial map that would cut municipalities from 61 to 46, demanded changes to election laws and chanted slogans against both Prime Minister Edi Rama and opposition leader Sali Berisha. /p.s./
