TIRANA, Aug 6 /ATA/ Defence Minister Ermal Nufi shared footage on Thursday from the firefighting operation in the Dajti area, praising the commitment and sacrifice of personnel working on the ground.
In a social media post, Nufi said that the dedication of emergency response teams and Armed Forces personnel serves as a shield protecting citizens, homes and the environment.
“With dedication, professionalism and sacrifice, they are on the ground day and night, working both from the ground and from the air,” the minister said.
Nufi expressed his gratitude to all personnel involved in tackling the wildfire situation, particularly in Dajti and Mallakastër, as well as in all areas where flames pose a threat to lives, homes and property.
Efforts to extinguish the fire hotspots are ongoing, with teams operating both on the ground and from the air, while relevant authorities remain deployed to monitor and manage the situation.
