TIRANA, Aug 3 /ATA/ Librazhd Mayor Mariglen Disha, accompanied by National Civil Protection Agency Director General Haki Çako, inspected the situation at Mount Dardha today, where they saw first-hand the fire response efforts, the progress of operations, and the work of emergency teams on the ground.
Disha said that “the National Civil Protection Agency, in cooperation with the Elbasan Prefecture and Librazhd Municipality, is coordinating inter-institutional efforts and supporting operational structures with the necessary resources to contain and bring the flames under control.”
“In situations like these, strong institutional cooperation and a coordinated response are crucial to safeguarding citizens’ lives, property and our natural resources,” Disha said, thanking firefighters and rescue teams, civil protection authorities, the State Police, Librazhd Municipality staff, other personnel involved in the operation, and all volunteers who continue to work around the clock on the ground.
“The Albanian government, through the structures of the civil protection system, has mobilised human and logistical resources to manage the situation and support affected communities,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Director General of the National Civil Protection Agency added that “the National Civil Protection Agency will continue monitoring and coordinating the operation, remaining close to local structures and citizens until the situation is fully normalised. Librazhd will overcome this challenge as well through hard work, cooperation and responsibility.”
