TIRANA, Aug 1 /ATA/ The National Civil Protection Agency announced that the wildfire that broke out in the area above the Llogara Tunnel has been fully extinguished, following a coordinated response by operational structures under the direction of the Prefecture of Vlorë County.
The operation to contain the blaze involved four firefighting vehicles, 11 firefighters from the Fire Protection and Rescue Service (MZSH) of Himara and Vlorë, 43 personnel from the Armed Forces, as well as an Air Force helicopter.
According to the National Civil Protection Agency, the coordinated response brought the fire under full control and completely extinguished the blaze, while responsible authorities continue to monitor the area to prevent any potential flare-ups.
Authorities remain on alert to manage emergency situations, particularly during the summer season, when the risk of wildfires is higher.
