TIRANA, July 30 /ATA/ During its final seasonal meeting, the government passed defense-related measures, including VAT updates and a draft proposal for Albania’s participation in the international mission in Gaza
Minister of Defense Ermal Nufi said during a briefing after the government meeting that amendments to the VAT law aim to facilitate procedures for companies and joint ventures operating in the defense industry. According to him, these measures will encourage investments and the introduction of advanced technology in this sector.
Nufi also said that the government approved a draft act to join the international mission in Gaza with four staff officers, and will decide on sending more troops later.
According to the minister, after the officers will be sent there, there will be assessed the country’s further level of commitment, including the number of troops that can be sent and their location of deployment in Gaza. /m.q/a.f/p.s./
