TIRANA, July 29 /ATA/ Environment Minister Sofjan Jaupaj inspected the former waste site in Vlora ahead of an upcoming environmental cleanup.
In a social media update, he noted that the Ministry of Environment—working alongside the Vlora municipality and backed by the KfW Development Bank—will rehabilitate this former pollution hotspot.
Japaj pledged to close the old landfill safely and restore the inert site at the Aviation Field.
According to Jaupaj, this is another concrete investment for a cleaner, greener and more sustainable Vlora.
The rehabilitation of the former waste landfill in Vlora aims to improve waste management and rehabilitate environmentally degraded areas, in order to guarantee a cleaner environment and a higher quality of life for citizens. /k.s/a.f/p.s./
