TIRANA, May 18/ATA/ Albania participated in the 25th meeting of the CESEE Insurance Supervision Initiative which was held in Warsaw, Poland, with the participation of the supervisory authorities of the region.
The delegation of the Financial Supervisory Authority (AMF) was composed by Merita Gurabardhi, Aranit Muja and Lusjana Lloji and participated in the discussions on key issues of insurance and pension market supervision.
During the meeting, there were addressed topics related to natural disaster risk and climate change, the insurance protection gap, supplementary pension systems, recovery and extraordinary intervention in the insurance sector, as well as reinsurance practices.
According to the AMF, participation in this forum supports Albania’s European integration process, particularly in terms of aligning insurance, pension and consumer protection supervision with the standards and best practices of the European Union.
The exchange of regional experiences is considered an important contribution to strengthening the framework for the supervision of the non-banking financial market and increasing market stability in Albania. /j.p/p.s./
