TIRANA, March 22 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama said Albania is on a path of sustained economic growth, with the projections placing the country among the better-performing economies in the coming years.
Speaking in the latest episode of his Let’s Talk (Flasim) podcast on Sunday, the government head said Albania’s income levels are expected to rise to around 32% of GDP by 2030, citing estimates from international financial institutions.
He attributed the outlook to structural reforms undertaken over the years, saying these had laid the foundations for continued expansion.
“The growth is not accidental. It is built on reforms that have strengthened the economy and created the conditions for faster development,” Rama said.
He added that key sectors are driving the upward trend, with one of the most tangible effects being rising wages in both the public and private sectors, particularly for skilled workers.
Rama also framed the economic progress as an incentive for Albanians living abroad to consider returning, arguing that the country now offers improved job opportunities alongside better living conditions.
