FM Hoxha: Albania’s future is anchored in European family

TIRANA, March 19/ATA/ During his official visit to Spain, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha held a meeting with students from the University Carlos III of Madrid.

Hoxha stressed that meaningful discussions on Europe’s future must be co-created with young people, not just held for them.

“I had a lively and insightful exchange with Carlos III University students. Their curiosity, critical thinking and engagement highlight the vital role that young people play in shaping the future of Europe”, he stressed.

Minister Hoxha emphasized that connecting with youth is not merely an enriching process, but a vital, non-negotiable step.

“Their questions, ideas and expectations challenge us to do more, to lead with integrity and to ensure that the European project remains dynamic, inclusive and future-oriented”, Hoxha said.

During the meeting, Minister Hoxha answered their questions on Albania’s journey through reforms, good governance and strengthening the rule of law, transformative processes that continue to bring our country closer to the European Union.

“I was particularly impressed by their strong interest in the EU enlargement, a necessity for Albania, but also a clear strategic investment for the EU itself. I emphasized the central role that EU issues occupy in our daily political life and in our ongoing efforts for modernization, firmly anchoring our future in the European family, to which we naturally belong”, Hoxha informed about the meeting.

According to the minister, it is encouraging to share with this new generation the conviction that in these complicated and uncertain times, the EU must continue to demonstrate unity, cohesion and vision. /m.m/j.p/p.s./
