Berisha: New phase begins tomorrow in battle against narcotics-linked regime

TIRANA, March 11 /ATA/ The Democratic Party convened its parliamentary group on Wednesday. During his address, the party leader Sali Berisha asserted that the Socialist majority is acting as a shield for criminal activity and aims to undermine the independence of the judiciary.
According to Berisha, tomorrow, when the report regarding the parliamentary immunity of MP Belinda Balluku is presented for legislative consideration, Prime Minister Edi Rama will, in effect, undertake the dismantling of the judiciary.

He establishes the full protection of the majority for criminal activity or criminal mandates for the embezzlements committed by him and government officials. He does so within the framework of a grimmer scenario—the scenario of Albania’s detachment from the European Union integration process.
Berisha described the act as extremely serious, warning that it discourages Albanians from building their European aspirations at home and drives them to seek opportunities abroad.

“The Archimedes’ lever to unseat Edi Rama is none other than us—the Albanian citizens and the Albanian opposition. Tomorrow thus marks a decisive new stage in our struggle to overthrow this regime, which is hostile in every respect to Albania, its people, the nation, and both their present and future.”
