TIRANA, Feb 24 /ATA/ – Defence Minister Pirro Vengu on Tuesday announced that two cooperation agreements were signed during his official visit to Budapest, aimed at strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries in defence and innovation.

According to Vengu, the Albanian Ministry of Defence and its Hungarian counterpart concluded agreements designed to deepen bilateral defence cooperation.

“One agreement seeks to enhance civil-level cooperation in defence, while the other links the Hungarian Defence Research and Innovation Institute (VIKI) with the Security and Defence Innovation Centre, opening a new chapter in research and development, exchange of expertise, training and access to European programmes,” he said.

Vengu described the accords as a concrete step towards stronger security, enhanced innovation and closer cooperation among allies.
