Five Junior Doctors Join University Hospital of Trauma

TIRANA, Feb 3 /ATA/ Public and regional hospitals nationwide are being strengthened with newly appointed teams of doctors and nurses, thereby enhancing the professionalism of the existing staff with renewed energy.
The integration of junior doctors and nurses serves as on- the- job experience, allowing them direct engagement with the challenges faced by patients.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection has announced that the newly appointed professionals at the University Hospital of Trauma include Dr. Anri Gongo, Dr. Emiljana Toslluku, Dr. Fjoralba Lapi, Dr. Argjend Kosiqi, and Dr. Darjo Horjeti.

Prime Minister Edi Rama said on Tuesday in a social media post that a new generation of doctors has joined the team at the University Hospital of Trauma.

Earlier, a group of five new nurses also joined the existing team at this hospital in the capital.
With the reintroduction of the long-term residency program in 2015, a sustainable model has been established for the distribution of doctors throughout the country, thereby enhancing healthcare services in both regional and municipal hospitals.

In recent years, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection (MShMS) has established a transparent and merit-based mechanism through the “Doctors for Albania” and “Nurses for Albania” portals for the recruitment of medical professionals.

The employment of new doctors and nurses effectively meets the demand for various specialties in regional and municipal hospitals.
