TIRANA, January 12 /ATA/ Chairman of the Democratic Party Sali Berisha reacted today to the international developments and the DP’s stance on the situation in Iran.
During the press conference, Berisha considered 2026 as, “The year of the overthrow of dictatorships” and underlined that freedom for nations is a global challenge”.
He stated that after the example of dictators like Maduro in Venezuela, now it’s the turn of the Iranian regime of Ayatollahs, which according to him is “breathing his last”.
The leader of the DP emphasized that the Iranian people are standing up for freedom and national dignity and that the march of the revolution does not stop, despite the violence and repression by the regime.
“The Iranian regime’s days are numbered. The freedom of Iranians has its price, but the people of this nation are ready to pay it”, Berisha said.
Berisha voiced the Democratic Party’s strong support for the Iranian opposition in its battle for a free, democratic and independent Iran.
Berisha also called on the US to help the Iranian people on the path to liberation from the current regime.
“The DP calls on the governments of the free countries, the US in the first place, to help the great Iranian people with all possible means to free themselves from this obscurantist regime,” emphasized the DP. /gj.m/j.p/p.s./
