TIRANA, Jan 9 /ATA/ The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Andis Salla, stated today that the Drojë River embankment in Durrës has been fully secured, guaranteeing both the proper functioning of the infrastructure and the safety of the surrounding area.
Salla emphasized that the operation was carried out by the Durrës Directorate of Irrigation and Drainage team, which worked relentlessly on site despite adverse weather conditions, using two long-arm excavators.
“Thanks to the timely intervention and the full commitment of the responsible authorities, further flood risks were avoided, ensuring the protection of agricultural land and residential areas in the region,” he said.
Salla assured that the structures of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development continue to monitor the situation, in coordination with the relevant institutions.
