TIRANA, Jan 1 /ATA/ President of the Republic Bajram Begaj today wished success and the best achievements to the Cypriot Presidency of the European Union for the first half of 2026.
Begaj noted that Cyprus is assuming the EU Presidency at a very important time for Europe and for the entire world.
The President expressed his confidence that the Cypriot EU Presidency will focus on the European integration process of the Western Balkan countries.
“We hope that Albania will begin closing the first chapters of the negotiations for full membership in the European Union,” he stated.
