TIRANA, Dec 21 /ATA/ The Ambassador of Albania to the United States of America, Ervin Bushati, held a meeting with the American Secretary of State, Marco Rubio.
“While sharing the photo of the occasion, Ambassador Bushati remarked: ‘Albania is a triumph of American diplomacy. From an isolated communist nation, with the support of the United States we transformed and grew into steadfast allies. Today, Albania is recognized as one of the most pro-American countries in the world.’”
According to Ambassador Bushati, Secretary Rubio expressed his satisfaction in affirming that this occasion represents a genuine friendship between our two nations and serves as an ‘excellent recognition’ in the sphere of politics and diplomacy. Ambassador Bushati further underscored that ‘Albania, as the homeland of Mother Teresa, stands as a symbol of peace and coexistence for the global community.’”
In a personal note, Ambassador Bushati expressed his profound joy and pride upon learning that Mother Teresa is the patron saint of the Rubio family. On behalf of Prime Minister Edi Rama, Ambassador Bushati extended an invitation to Secretary Rubio to visit Albania, with the aim of further strengthening the great friendship between Albania and the United States.
Bushati stated that this was an unforgettable meeting with a great friend of freedom and democracy in the world.
