TIRANA, December 13/ATA/ The Democratic Party convened its leading board today, where during the opening remarks, Chairman of the Democratic Party Sali Berisha emphasized that the only way for the opposition to confront the socialist ruling majority is through the protests.
Berisha emphasized that on December 22, the DP will call for the first national protest. According to Berisha, the protests will continue until a caretaker government is established.
“We only have one way, and this is the way of protests. The citizens must speak with their protests,” Berisha said.
According to Berisha, the DP does not and cannot have any other agenda.
“I think that December 22 should be the date of the first general national protest and we must be clear that the main topic of our agenda will be the protests. There is no hope left except for protests,” Berisha said.
During his speech at the Leading Board, the leader of the DP also focused on recent developments, which he described as unprecedented in many, many years.
“For the first time in 32 years, the head of government is launching an open attack against the punishment of corruption,” Berisha said. “In a country that aspires to European integration, this has not happened and can never happen,” Berisha said.
Referring to the reasoning of the majority in the Constitutional Court, in regard to the decision to suspend the ruling of the Court against Corruption and Organized Crime on Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, Berisha said that this reasoning is identical to the statements of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
“They decide to suspend the suspension,” Berisha said. /m.q/j.p/p.s./
