Vengu: Albania’s security built on commitment of its Armed Forces on 113th Anniversary

TIRANA, Dec 4 /ATA/ On the 113th anniversary of the establishment of Albania’s Armed Forces, Defence Minister Pirro Vengu affirmed that the Armed Forces are indispensable for the country’s progress.
Speaking at the commemorative event, Vengu highlighted: ‘Sixteen years after joining NATO, Albania is safe not because of its size, but because of the commitment of its people in uniform.”

“‘This is also why our allies trust us. The Armed Forces of Albania are not merely an institution. They are the people in uniform, their families, the communities assisted during emergencies, and the citizens who live in peace knowing that their country is protected,’ emphasised Vengu.

Vengu stated that it is 113 years of history, 113 years of service, while the future of the Armed Forces is being built every day on the same principles as in 1912.

Albania must be able to defend itself in order to ensure its development,’ he added.
The legacy of 113 years of service to the homeland remains a source of inspiration and responsibility for the current and future mission of the Armed Forces, which, through their commitment to national security, the defence of territorial integrity, and service to citizens, continue to operate according to modern standards and with a clear vision for the future.
