TIRANA, December 3 /ATA/ Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports Blendi Gonxhja held a meeting with representatives of the World Bank, with the aim of promoting strategic cooperation in function of sustainable and competitive tourism development in Albania.
In a post in the social media, Gonxhja said that, “During the meeting we discussed the standardization of natural destinations, improving water supply and critical infrastructure in tourist areas, strengthening destination management structures (DMO), establishing a national tourism data system and advancing regional connectivity, as key components for building capacities and quality in the sector”.
“We reconfirmed the joint commitment to implementation of the Tourism Strategy 2024–2030, emphasizing concrete results and long-term objectives”, emphasized Gonxhja.
Minister Gonxhja expressed his appreciation for the sustainable partnership with the World Bank, describing it as a key actor in supporting development priorities. /k.s/r.e/a.f/p.s./
