Albania’s Independence Day marked in Presheva Valley, Medvegja, Bujanoc and Sanxhak

TIRANA, Nov 28 /ATA/ – Celebrations marking Albania’s 113th Independence Day and the traditional November holidays were held on Friday in Presheva, Bujanoc, Medvegja and the Sanxhak region, home to sizeable Albanian communities.

Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports Blendi Gonxhja said this year’s events were being organized “more festively than ever” with the support of the Albanian government and his ministry.

He said cultural and artistic activities, theatre performances, exhibitions, concerts and artisan fairs were bringing a holiday atmosphere across the Presheva Valley.

“We celebrate together, wherever we are,” Gonxhja wrote in a social media post.

Festivities were held throughout the Albanian-populated areas of the region as communities marked what they described as a special day for Albanians everywhere.
