Osmani mandates Konjufca to form a government

PRISHTINA, November 4 /ATA/ Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani announced that she has mandated Glauk Konjufca from the Self-Determination Movement to form the new government of Kosovo.

According to the Constitution, Konjufca has 15 days to present to the Assembly the new government, which must receive the approval of at least 61 MPs.

In a press conference, Osmani said that today she also held meetings with the leaders of other major parties, who told her that they do not want to propose a mandate holder.

According to Osmani, the Constitutional Court’s rulings read that if the Government of Kosovo is not elected after two attempts, “then, there are called extraordinary elections.”

The Self-Determination Movement led by Albin Kurti proposed earlier in the day Konjufca as the mandate holder for the new Government of Kosovo, sending his name for the mandate to the president.

Konjufca said he wants cooperation with the Albanian parties represented in the Assembly, but not a coalition. /REL//r.e/p.s./
