TIRANA, November 3/ATA/ For the first time, the “No Borders Orchestra” performed in Tirana.
This unique ensemble, composed of the best professional musicians from the former Yugoslavia, presented its new “Turning Point” project last weekend. The concert took place in the hall of the University of Arts, as part of the closing night of the Austrian Cultural Week.
Albanian Ministry of Culture of Albania, Austrian Embassy in Tirana and Raiffeisen Bank are supporters of the event.
No Borders Orchestra (NBO) is a symphony orchestra comprised of excellent professional musicians from across the former Yugoslavia.
In addition to the artistic side, the NBO has set itself an educational, social and political mission, which is based on the destruction of stereotypes, overcoming nationalism, racism, xenophobia and the bad legacy of the past.
The “No Borders Orchestra”, which is known for its collaborations with Universal Music and Deutsche Grammophon, offered a concert that was both a musical experience and a call for awareness.
The “Turning Point” conveyed the need for unity, reflection and action, in the face of challenges affecting the world such as wars, inequalities, climate change and the destruction of nature. /j.p/p.s./
