TIRANA, Oct 29 /ATA/ The Albanian government has approved in principle two strategic agreements with Italy, signaling a major step forward in international cooperation within key sectors vital to the country’s social and economic progress.
The first agreement aims to foster strategic cooperation in healthcare, energy, environment, security and defense industry, migration management, education, innovation, diaspora engagement, economic transformation, and smart growth. This agreement will facilitate the exchange of expertise, joint projects, and investments in strategic areas that contribute to Albania’s sustainable development.
The second agreement concerns the implementation of the project “Advancing Neonatal and Maternal Health in Albania (ANMA) – AID 013307,” a joint initiative with Italy aimed at improving maternal and child health in the country, strengthening hospital capacities, and raising standards of neonatal healthcare.
Both decisions take effect immediately upon approval and are expected to strengthen bilateral relations between Albania and Italy, enhancing cooperation on concrete projects with a direct impact on citizens’ lives.
This move is also part of Albania’s broader strategy for economic transformation and innovation, targeting key sectors including education, renewable energy, environmental protection, and public safety.
