TIRANA, Oct 7 /ATA/- A spellbinding concert titled “From Bach to Blues” enchanted audiences at the National Theatre of Opera, Ballet and Folk Ensemble in Tirana on Tuesday evening, marking one of the highlights of the 2025 German Culture Week and the 13th edition of the “Violinistic Greetings” festival.
The event featured acclaimed German violinist Caroline Adomeit alongside distinguished Albanian pianist Fatma Spahiu, offering a musical voyage that spanned centuries and styles – from the immortal works of Johann Sebastian Bach and the impressionistic hues of Maurice Ravel, to Adomeit’s own arrangements, compositions by Kosturi, and Albanian pieces for violin.
Blending classical precision with contemporary flair, the performance radiated energy, virtuosity, and emotional depth, reflecting Adomeit’s philosophy of “music without barriers.”
With over 275,000 followers on social media, Adomeit is celebrated internationally for her innovative interpretations, acclaimed recordings, and performances across Europe. She currently teaches at the Akademie für Tonkunst in Darmstadt.
Spahiu, a lecturer at the University of Arts in Tirana, brought a masterful balance of sensitivity and strength to the piano, elevating the recital into an unforgettable artistic dialogue between the two performers.
As part of her visit to Albania, Adomeit will also lead a masterclass for violin students at the University of Arts, in collaboration with its Faculty of Music, furthering the exchange of artistic experience between Germany and Albania.
