TIRANA, September 8 /ATA/ Installment payment schemes for arrears to the Universal Service Provider (FSHU) and the Electricity Distribution System Operator (OSSH) are proving to be a valuable opportunity for businesses and household subscribers, significantly easing the financial burden and formalizing their relationships with energy institutions.
Over the past year, around 1,000 entities have applied for these schemes, benefiting from a reduction in interest rates from 50% to 100%, as a result of paying off electricity bills in a single installment.
The OSHEE has been implementing new facilitation schemes for the installment payment of arrears from electricity bills since July of the current year.
Through agreements, the OSHEE Group offers the possibility of paying accumulated liabilities until December 31, 2023, supporting the most vulnerable groups and small businesses.
The agreements include: family clients living on economic assistance, head of household pensioners and persons with special status who can repay their liabilities with fixed monthly installments starting from 1,200 lekë.
Other family clients will benefit from fixed monthly installments starting from 2,800 lekë.
In order to maintain an affordable and fair standard, the maximum number of installments will be no more than 240 installments. In any case, the client has the right to choose a payment installment, with a value higher than the minimum value, adhering to the condition of a maximum of 240 installments.
To benefit from the settlement schemes, subscribers must have paid off their obligations for 2024 and the first months of 2025. Those who have new debts during this period must pay them off before applying for the settlement.
The authorities call on all subscribers who have outstanding obligations to benefit from the settlement packages currently offered. /j.p/p.s./
