TIRANA, Sept 3 /ATA/ Another group of children visited the Circular Economy Park on Wednesday in Fushë-Krujë to experience how recycling and reusing can shape everyday life. It’s great to see how naturally young people understand the importance of caring for the environment and the role it plays in building a healthier and more sustainable future.
EU Ambassador Silvio Gonzato joined them as they asked questions, took part in quizzes, worked on study cases, and explored the second-hand shop in the park.
Through these activities, the children could see with their own eyes that recycling is not only an idea for the future, but already a reality here at the Circular Economy Park— built entirely from recycled materials, from straw and clay to reused windows, discarded wood, and river stones. It is a space that proves everything can have a second life, if we look at it differently.
Through initiatives such as the EU for Circular Economy and Livable Cities (EU4CELC), the European Union is supporting Albania’s transition toward a greener way of living.
Teaching these ideas to children at an early stage means raising responsible citizens for the future.
Environmental protection and the promotion of sustainable practices are integral to Albania’s path toward EU integration. While much remains to be done, the European Union will continue to support this journey.
