TIRANA, September 1 /ATA/ Minister of Health and Social Protection Albana Koçiu announced today that Fier Regional Hospital is the routine stop for free mammograms for all women during September.
“Fier is our next stop. Women have free mammograms, without a referral system, at the Regional Hospital”, emphasized Koçiu.
During September, women in Durrës can go to the regional hospital of this city for free mammograms without a doctor’s recommendation.
Minister Koçiu also said that in August, around 702 free mammograms were performed at Durrës Regional Hospital, giving every woman the opportunity for a necessary check-up for her health and life”, said Koçiu.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection has decided to extend its awareness campaign throughout the year. Regular check-ups are essential for early diagnosis in the fight against cancer and for health protection. /k.s//a.f/p.s./
