TIRANA, Aug 4 /ATA/ Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and Business Climate, Delina Ibrahimaj, on Monday shared the messages of three young people who, through innovation, have developed three technological platforms for agriculture and agritourism.
During the third episode of Startup Station, Ibrahimaj highlighted ongoing discussions about technological innovations in agriculture and agritourism, along with the important role startups play in rural development.
Lefter Prifti, the young founder of GreenLab, explained that the concept for the startup emerged from analyzing the Albanian market. “Agriculture is a key sector in Albania. Observing various trends—such as emigration and the lack of reliable information—we saw an opportunity to tackle these challenges by integrating technology with agriculture. That’s how GreenLab came to life,” he said.
Endri Dhaskali, the founder of Instecintel—a name combining “insect” and “intelligence”—shared that they are creating a smart device: an intelligent trap that captures insects, identifies their species, and alerts farmers, agronomists, or end users about the captured insect along with recommended actions to prevent possible damage.
Another young entrepreneur featured in the third episode of the podcast “Startup Station,” Frajdi Zyla, said that together with three collaborators, he created the platform MTB, Agricultural Towing Machine.
“MTB is a robot tractor that will be remotely controlled by farmers and will perform all the tasks needed for the land, whether plowing, ridging, watering, planting—essentially everything,” Zyla explained.
Minister Ibrahimaj previously stated that “The government has supported the startup ecosystem with over 10 million euros in the last three years, providing direct grants and training to more than 200 startups.”
