TIRANA, July 12/ATA/ In the southeastern corner of Albania, just a few minutes of travel distance from the city of Pogradec, there is located one of the most precious pearls of natural tourism: Drilon Park.
Drilon has already become one of the most favorite destinations for local and foreign visitors thanks to its green areas, crystal-clear water springs and rich aquatic fauna.
As soon as you enter the park, you immediately feel the tranquility that prevails. The stone-paved streets pass under the shade of perennial poplars, while the light sound of leaves rustling in the wind creates a special atmosphere of relaxation.
The natural springs of Drilon, which directly supply Lake Pogradec, run through the park via quiet channels where white swans swim.
Tourists often stop to take photos of this natural beauty, while children follow the birds that move freely on the water with their eyes.
The presence of traditional cafes along the lake’s canals makes the experience even more pleasant for visitors who want to enjoy a drink under the coolness of the trees and the sounds of nature.
Drilon is a destination that attracts thousands of visitors every year who are looking for a little peace, beauty and inspiration. For those who want to get away from the noise of the cities for a while, Drilon remains an ideal choice for relaxation and direct contact with the wild nature of southeastern Albania.
Near Drilon, there is the village of Tushemisht which together with the Drilon Natural Park have become a new ecotourism pole not only for Pogradec, but also for Korça.
Driloni or Voloreka as the people of Pogradec call it, just 6 km from Pogradec, is one of the natural wonders and one of the most beautiful attractions in our country, where the investments made with the construction of about 4 thousand meters of pedestrian paths that have expanded the surface of the park, have highlighted the tourist potential of this area.
The area where the Tushemisht promenade and Drilon Park lie has been extended into 150 hectares, all in function of tourism, with 13 new bridges, promenades, bicycle lanes, 8 thousand planted trees, 5 km of navigable distance by boat. /gj.m//r.e//a.f/p.s./
