AI learning program launched at Harvard arrives in Albania, with 30 students engaged in intensive training

TIRANA, July 4 /ATA/ The Artificial Intelligence education program, originally started at Harvard, is now available in Albania.

Akademi.al, in collaboration with UNICEF Albania and the technology center TUMO Albania, has brought to Albania for the first time the international program “AI Hustle Lab,” an initiative aimed at empowering youth through Artificial Intelligence technology and entrepreneurial spirit.

“This program aims to increase the capacities of children aged 13-18 in critical thinking and entrepreneurship by using Artificial Intelligence as a creative and critical tool,” said Dean Çelaj, founder of Akademi.al.

Following its successful launch at Cambridge Public Schools in the United States—a city internationally known as home to the world’s most prestigious universities, Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)—the program has now reached Tirana and is being held in the state-of-the-art facilities of TUMO Albania.

In this intensive two-day training, 30 students aged 14-18 developed business plans for new startups using the latest artificial intelligence tools.

“AI Hustle Lab” was developed by a duo of student-instructors from Harvard University: Victor Pereira Jr., a lecturer in education and instructional leadership at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and Dean Çelaj, founder of Akademi.al in Albania and GoTeacher in the USA—two platforms aiming to modernize education through technology.

Çelaj emphasized that the program was thoughtfully designed by him and his professor at Harvard University, incorporating exercises at every stage that foster critical thinking and collaboration, with AI being used not merely as an automation tool but as an active partner in the thinking process.

This is another step forward toward involving young Albanians in the latest global developments in technology and entrepreneurship.
