Two-year Dutch project supporting Albania’s anti-corruption body concludes

TIRANA, June 26 /ATA/ – The two-year project “Strengthening Special Prosecution Office” (SPO), funded by the Dutch MATRA program and led by the Netherlands-based CILC, concluded on Thursday.

The closing ceremony was attended by the head of Albania’s Special Anti-Corruption and Organized Crime Structure (SPAK), Altin Dumani, and Dutch Ambassador to Tirana, Reinout Vos.

Over the past two years, the project supported SPAK by training prosecutors and administrative staff, piloting new working methods, and sharing Dutch best practices.

At the event, licenses for the ‘Analyst Notebook’ software were handed over to support a new initiative focused on financial investigations.

The Dutch Embassy described the partnership as a strong, joint commitment to supporting the rule of law in Albania.
