“Wanderlust in Albania 2”, Rama: Sunset on Dragobia mountains

TIRANA, June 9 /ATA/ Albania has become one of the most sought-after destinations in recent years, where in addition to the coast, the holiday-makers also choose the Albanian Alps as a destination. There, they can find several national parks surrounded by winsome landscapes.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared today in the social media a photo of the sunset on the peaks of the Alps, in the heart of Dragobia.

The photo was taken by Bleron Çaka and was presented at the International Photography and Video Reels Competition “Wanderlust in Albania 2”.

“A rare moment when the last rays of the daylight embrace the peaks of the Alps, in the heart of Dragobia. “Wanderlust in Albania 2”, the International Photography & Video Competition, brings us the “Sunset on the Serpent’s Peak”, a photo taken by Bleron Çaka”, wrote Rama.

The International Photography and Video Reels Competition “Wanderlust in Albania” was held for the second year, after the success of the first edition, revealing the beauties of Albania through the eyes of travelers and visitors themselves with photographs and video reels that they have taken during their travels in Albania.

Photographers and videographers (professionals and amateurs) from Albania and 36 countries around the world brought in this edition, once again, wonderful images and footage, revealing Albania through the beauties of nature and cultural and historical heritage.

One of them was the image of photographer Bleron Çaka, who chose to promote the Albanian Alps, one of the natural destinations that attract more and more visitors with their unique beauties.

The Alps National Park remains one of the most visited destinations in our country, where tourists get fond of the natural beauties of the Gashi River, the Valbona Valley, Theth, Vermoshi and Boga.

The Albanian Alps lie north of the Drin River and west of the lower reaches of the Valbona River (a tributary of the Drin). They encompass the northern part of the country and occupy about 8% of it. /m.m/j.p/p.s./
