Albanians regard European integration as a fundamental guiding value

TIRANA, June 3 /ATA/ During his visit to Athens, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Igli Hasani took part in a meeting with members of the “ELIAMEP” Institute, one of Greece’s leading organizations specializing in foreign and European affairs. At the meeting, he outlined the progress Albania has made in its European integration journey.

Hasani stressed that European integration holds a deep significance for Albanians, describing it as a kind of “faith,” and emphasized that the ongoing reforms are intended not merely to meet EU criteria, but primarily to serve the interests of the Albanian people.

Hasani further emphasized, “We are at the best historical moment in this journey, with a clear objective to conclude negotiations by 2027 and for Albania to join the great European family by the end of this decade.”
