TIRANA, May 14 /ATA/ Albania qualified for the final night of Eurovision 2025. “Shkodra Elektronike” that represented Albania qualified with the song “Zjerm” among the 10 winning countries of the first semi-final night, held in Basel, Switzerland.
Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted in a post in the social media. He wrote that “Zjerm” in the grand final of May 17 of the Eurovision. A chance to shine, shine, shine”, Rama wrote.
The first 10 semi-final qualifiers of May 13 are: Norway, Albania, Sweden, Iceland, Netherlands, Poland, San Marino, Estonia, Portugal, Ukraine.
“Shkodra Elektronike” was formed by two Albanian musicians who emigrated to Italy after leaving their native city of Shkodër.
The duo is made up of songwriter and producer Kolë Laca and singer and songwriter Beatriçe Gjergji. At the heart of the project is the pair’s passion for re-interpreting the traditional songs of Shkodra in a contemporary electronic style. /a.f/p.s./
